Hello, My name is Chris. I am in the process of writing a book about what ptsd really is. Not the psycho-illogical nonsense of "mental illness." I plan to prove ptsd is a physical injury, and I also hope, with your help, to change the classification of ptsd so we can start getting effective treatment/prevention by medical doctors. The first part of the process is to rewrite an accurate set of diagnostic critera. With the inaccurate set they use today, and the new one that is coming out, it's no wonder ptsd is so often misdiagnosed and mistreated. For Pete's sake, anxiety is not even listed as a symptom now. PTSD is an ANXIETY Disorder. How insane is that? If anyone is interested in helping to change history, and stopping the insanity of adding more insult to ptsd injury by labeling survivors suffering from a normal reaction to stress, as being mentally ill, please contact me at combatptsd1967@aol.com. Veterans with ptsd, and the family members will have their oppurtunity to tell their story of survival in the Aftermath of war. Thank you, I look forward to speaking with you soon. xoxoxox The essence of PTSD The war shot me full of holes, I risked my life to keep you free, How dare you now turn around, And make a psycho out of me! It's not my fault I was injured, A rapist took my life you see,, How can the society I once loved, Now cast the label of insanity? The physical injuries are obvious, It's my nervous system you can't see, As a victim of abuse I was tortured, Today A shrink says I have P.T.S.D. I was a hero as an officer of the law, A public servant I was proud to be, The perpetrator tried to end my life, I lost my job now that I'm CRA-ZY. I was just an innocent child, A precious, needy, sweet , ba-by. After grown ups locked me in an attic, They stole my sanity. I survived cruelty, horror, and helplessness, Then psychiatrists made a mockery of me, They turned me into a drooling zombie, While assaulting my body pharma-co-logically. The social worker took me from loving parents, For years the foster home assaulted my sexuality I was scared to death during the beatings, Now I'm accused of breeding insanity. The bear ripped off my mothers head, And ate her guts in front of me, How dare you now turn around, And make a psycho out of me!! Thank God you can not know, The life threatening injustice I did see, The judge locked the innocent in a cage for life, Living like an animal psycho-logic-ly. I was a soldier brave and proud, I gave my life for my country. How dare you now turn around, And make a psycho out of me! Society ignored the suffering, "Mental illness" it was thought to be, All those people who survived the unthinkable, Were treated to electric shock therapy. The nut houses were condemned and closed, For treating humans inhumanely, The criminally insane ran the place, While performing lobotomies. It's hard to tell who's sick these days, We know traumatic stress causes pain, It damages the nervous system, And causes shrinking of the brain. I am a normal survivor, I suffer from PTSD. How dare you even try, To make a psycho out of me! Chris Woolnough August 4, 2010 |

I am a grandson of a vietnam and korean war vets and I will be joining the Marine Corps next march when I turn 18 years old. I do not support President Obama and his war tactics, but no matter what our troops do i will always support our troops. No matter what happens to me my family, my friends, my community, and my country will honor me, support me. I am not doing this to be a hero I am doing this to serve my country, and my community, but I might become a hero in the proccess |

I woke today to hear of another son's death in iraq. Each time I feel like I have lost a child, a family member. It's crushing to know that a family out there is suffering such pain, and there is nothing we can do about it? I strongly believe the media should honor these soldiers EVERY day that more are killed.EVERY LAST SOLDIER SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED AS A HERO!! And this should take presidence to ANY OTHER NEWS!! My prayers go out to our troops and to the families of our fallen soldiers--everyday,everynight,every minute. |

I'm glad our men and woman in the military can see they are appreciated, loved, thought about and prayed for, not just them but their families also. I personally thank God for each one of you and I do not care which branch you're in, you are our protectors, our knights in shining armor. You sacrifice daily so we can live the kind of life we have here in the United States and not only us but many other places and people have freedoms they never knew. May God bless you and keep you safe from all harm. Thank you for our freedom and no one better than you knows FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. With Greatest Love and Respect, Lisa Rash |
