Poem |
Walk Dear Friend Walk with me, You're my dear friend. Come with me to see the agony within, Don't hide your eyez dear friend. Walk with me, You're my dear friend. Come with me to seed my bright smile Don't be so stuboborn Let your heart lead your way dear friend. Walk with me, You're my dear friend. Come fill your eyez with tears, That cries for earth-peace, deep inside Don't deny all of your trust with me. Walk with me, You're my dear friend. Come scream for mercy, Plead your way to heaven, Then come back and spend Your never-ending dayz with me. |

IF I KNEW |
notes |
Sent in by Cheryl |
Poem |
In memory of all those who perished; the passengers and the pilots on the United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders Our prayers go out to the friends and families of the deceased. IF I KNEW If I knew it would be the last time That I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming you would KNOW I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything just right. There will always be another day to say "I love you," and certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do?" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear Take time to say "I'm so |

My Grandma |
Poem |
My Grandma by Hazel (Hazy_crazy) My Grandma’s like a treasure Shining bright for all to see But many times more precious Especially to me ! My head is full of memories So much I can recall Of how my Gran looked after me When I was really small To stay with Gran was so much fun The breakfast was the best Bacon, Eggs and toasted bun Not to mention all the rest ! We strolled across the heath to town Wicker basket close in tow With shopping list all written down Complete with gift for Mo ! At John Peels you’d place a bet A patent or a double You place a wager on Ron’s Pet Better win – or we’re in trouble ! Shopping done we headed back Stopping off at Ann’s Café A pot of tea and sliced tea brack Oh what a lovely day ! So thank you Gran for all you’ve done You have a heart of gold Together we’ve had so much fun To me – you’ll ne’er grow old ! |

For You Son STEPHEN |
notes |
I wrote this for my son who is now a grown Man |
Poem |
FOR YOU SON I WAS THINKING OF YOU TODAY. WHEN I REALIZED THAT I HAVEN'T TOLD YOU IN A WHILE HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO HAVE YOU FOR A SON SOMETIMES, OF COURSE I WORRY ABOUT YOU BUT THAT'S JUST A NATURAL PART OF BEING A PARENT. I THINK ABOUT HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE, AND HOW MUCH JOY YOUR CHEERFULNESS AND WILLINGNESS TO HELP OUT HAVE ADDED TO MY LIFE.. I MAY HAVE CRITICIZED YOU AT TIMES, I MAY HAVE TRIED AT TIMES TO CHANGE YOU, BUT I LOVE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE... AND THE WAY YOU ARE MAKES ME VERY PROUD. |

BINGO By Virginia Phillippe I love playing bingo. Its lots of fun I love the halls, with their bingo lingo Would you please for me, call G-51. Call G-51 so I will be done. Come on now, I just want to yell Bingo! I love playing bingo. It’s lots of fun. You fool, you creep, not that N-31. You stupid, you ass, you bug-eyed gringo, Would you please for me call G-51. If you don’t hurry up I’ll get my gun. Come on you dummy, lay off the lingo, I love playing bingo. It’s lots of fun. That’s it, I’m tired, this is not any fun, You look just like an Australian dingo. Would you please for me call G-51! She hollered, she screamed, it’s over it’s done. Didn’t I say I love playing bingo! I love playing bingo. It’s lots of fun. I asked, please for me, CALL G-51! |

"Misty" |
notes |
When I read this poem my heart went out to every person that might be going through this or have gone through a situation like this. Please, pray for the victims and for the accusers. |
Poem |
"Misty" My name is Misty I am but three, My eyes are swollen I cannot see, I must be stupid, I must be bad, What else could have made Made my daddy so mad? I wish I were better I wish I weren't ugly, Then maybe my mommy Would still want to hug me. I can'tspeak at all I can't do a wrong Or else I'm locked up All the day long. When I awake I'm all alone The house is dark My folks arent home When my mommy does come I'll try and be nice, So maybe I'll get just One whipping tonight. Don't make a sound, I just heard a car My daddy is back From Charlie's Bar. I hear him curse My name he calls I press myself Against the wall I try and hide From his evil eyes I'm so afraid now I'm starting to cry He finds me weeping He shouts ugly words, He says its my fault That he suffers at work. He slaps me and hits me And yells at me more, I finally get free And I run for the door. He's already locked it And I start to bawl, He takes me and throws me Against the hard wall. I fall to the floor With my bones nearly broken, And my daddy continues With more bad words spoken. "I'm sorry!", I scream But its now much too late His face has been twisted Into unimaginable hate The hurt and the pain Again and again Oh please God, have mercy! Oh please let it end! And he finally stops And heads for the door, While I lay there motionless Sprawled on the floor My name is Misty And I am but three, Tonight my daddy Murdered me. There are thousands of kids out there just like Misty. And you can help. And please pass this poem on because as crazy as it might sound, it might just indirectly change a life. Hey, you NEVER know. |

Perfect Mom |
Poem |
To the Mother who has always been supportive, I give her all my love and admiration. To the mother who patiently saw me through the real rough times, I give her all my love and admiration. To the Mother who finally let me help her, I give her much gratitude and love. To the Mother who has always helped me when I really needed it without being asked, I dedicate this poem because she is the perfect Mom for me. |

MY PERFECT LITTLE HUMAN |
Poem |
The day he was born I was filled with joy For in my arms Was my precious boy Tears of desire He was really mine Perfect little human This was a sign A sign that life Was about to change Something so simple And yet so strange My name has gone It's Mommy now It sounds so sweet When I show him how His sparkling blue eyes And soft smooth skin His cheeks so plump His cute little chin With such tiny hands And a round little nose Small wee feet Ten fingers and toes So innocent and sweet He smiles at me My eyes twinkle back At the face I see He will grow fast Too fast I think So I cherish each day And share a wink Teach him to love From in his heart And reassure him We'll never be apart A child is an angel Sent from above For you to cherish For you to love |

THIS PRECIOUS LIFE |
Poem |
One month early She decided it then It was long enough where she had been Long hours of waiting Were worth every second My daughter arrived Pretty as a button Soon we wnt home To see big brother She stared at him Like there was no other She learned to smile And laugh out loud She giggled deeply And then she was proud With the tender way She held me tight She kissed my cheek And said "Goodnight" This precious life My angel of love The purest of hearts God sent from above She learns so much So quickly she grows Her independence Now really shows There's something about A child's warm heart That swears to them We'll never be apart |
