in mold de-gating

Could anyone provide sources for in mold de-gating systems?

Thanks.

Re: in mold de-gating

In mold degating is typically accomplished by designing the tool with tunnel, submarine or cashew style gates (all weird names,,It all depends on what part of the country you learned the trade ) These style gates are difficult to machine and even more difficult to alter and/or repair but they do have the advantage of eliminating the time or cost of an operator or other method degating the part/s. HASCO and D.M.S. provide 'off the shelf' tunnel-gate inserts for this design option.Mike Biddle Sr. Product Specialist P.C.S. Co. 800-521-0546

GO TO WWW.RAYLEN.COM THEY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED

Re: in mold de-gating

I'm not sure if you've done this or not (it's pretty simple) but we delay the k.o. pins in the runner system, letting the parts knock-out first, thus de-gating. Cheap and works great.
