I now have information from his daughter Tessa, regarding Fred Gravil\'s funeral arrangements:
Service will be on Thursday January 3rd at 12.30 p.m. In St Nicholas Church Stonegate, Thorne, Doncaster DN8 5NP (followed by cremation at Doncaster Crematorium), but the family will proceed direct to Refreshments at The Punchbowl Hotel Fieldside House, Field Side, Thorne, Doncaster DN8 4BE

Have just received a call from Tessa Holdaway, Fred Gravil's daughter, informing me that Fred went silent key at 1310z this afternoon.
Funeral will be in early January and I will post any information as soon as I receive it

Sad to report that I received a message yesterday morning to say that Fred Gravil S/R/O (Retd) has just returned from hospital to die at home after some weeks battling with cancer.
He reached the great age of 99, and I am sure will be remembered with affection by many here.

I will post any further information as received

If the Unofficial RFA site is still running I would be grateful if someone would post this onwards and would also like to have the URL as after a hard drive crash I lost my favourites!
