Hello from sunny Santorini - Good luck for the finals this weekend

What a great performance the Gresley Colliery Youth Band gave yesterday at Hoar Cross Nursing Home. This was also the last performance that Fay gave as conductor and I would like to say on the Youth Bands behalf, thank you for getting the Band to the level they are, they were a credit to you yesterday.

Just a quick note to say my wife and I really enjoyed tonight's concert at Gresley Hall.
We particularly enjoyed the cornet solo and the Youth Band look like they may be competing for the big band seats soon!

I played in the band back in the 60s and early 70s with people like Des Boddice Mick and Matt Eames and their Dad Etc. Etc. It's great to see how the band has come on, congratulations, we werne't that good in my day but we had some great times. I've lived the last 37 years in Sydney, and very happy years they've been but I have many happy memories of those early years. My regards to all my old friends
