Yowsah Alex....we shared some music classes at City College back in the 70's, hung out in your loft above the death fumes, talked numerous times about playing music together and never got around to it, crossed paths a few times over the years (even shared a bill at some club once, I think...). Glad to see we've both stayed in it, branched out to other things as well, and stayed creative.

Hey Bill, I always wondered what happened to you, I first saw you play in 1975 at the San Benardino municipal auditorium with the Tubes, my first concert ever. Saw you several times over the years with them and was bummed when you left the band. Heard through the grapevine you were teaching music. It was confirmed this past week when I met one of your talented students Kami Nixon at some friends house here in Chico. When she was talking about her mentor Bill, my friend remarked "didn't he play for the Tubes?" I freaked, wow your teacher is Bill Spooner, how cool. Love your music, just listened to the Folk Ups, it's very cool. Hope to make it to the bay area to see you play again.

Planet Earth, although some people don't believe it! Oh well...

Speak up... we're all ears!

Well...now THERE'S a deep subject. I am Linda, and I can't believe I'm brave enough to even incarnate on Earth for like, the 22nd time for the past 7,000 years alone. I am sure guys like Bill Spooner and Fee Waybill will understand. Extremely creative, sexually liberated, happy, spiritual people are not freaked out by me, unlike the 3rd-eye blind, heteromonogamousvanilla people trying their darndest to play dumb (and sometimes succeeding). Anyway, I LOVE The Tubes. I am a musician, author, artist, and erotic priestess and dreamer and world healer myself...that will take some explaining, I am sure...Bill Spooner, if you and I are meant to contact in the realm of time/space, we will! Do you know a Buzzy Linhart? He's my friend and neighbor.

Dear Mr. Spooner ,
I would just like to say that I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for hearing a little Record called REMOTE CONTROL. Some of my most influential (sp?) and memorable ( well ..some I remember and some I don't..) teenage moments had something to do with THE TUBES . ...And without going into any detail at this juncture ( Johnny Cockran ( sp ? I guess I really should have been home studying instead of at The Casa Vega !!! Maybe I'd know how to spell !!) has advised me not to !!!) I will simply close by saying ...Thanks ??!!
Always, Rach

Hey guys, great stuff! Been a Tubes fan since the beginning. Really like the name of the group, and have downloaded whatever you guys give up for free. Will purchase a Folks-up CD very soon. Hey Bill, my step daughter is dating someone who knows your kid. Kind of strange, since I started listening to Tubes music in my sophomore year in high school, and my step daughter never heard of them until she met me. She is a musician, and yet has only been exposed to just a few concerts. But she plays publicly in the Hayward/Berkeley/Bay area regularly.
Good luck to you all, and God Bless!

Mike
