I have an old coin from Northern Maine Packing Co., E. Corinth that I would like to donate to your museum. It is called a Husking Check and the face value is 4 cents. I have no idea of the year but thought it would be a great donation for your local museum.

Are you related to a resident of Corinth?

I have no idea. My husband's family name is GOOPY, but variations are from Guppy, Goupy, Gupi, Gupy, etc.We have traced the name back to Calcutta in 1831, with the birth of John Goopy (COPE). His subsequent migration to Australia is still uncharted, though he is buried in QLD and has left a large family thriving here.

We do know the name is prominent in England and Canada. I would be happy to hear from anyone who may be connected, especially if they have used or use, the variation of Goopy.
