The USMC Veterans Organization of America, a 501(c) 19 Combat Veterans Group is in the early planning stages for a reunion in Washington DC Vietnam Memorial in 2015. We welcome any combat vet to participate with us and celebrate a \"once in a life time event\". It will be 50 years since we served in Vietnam.

In 2015 3rd Marine Division Units 3/9 and 2/3 will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our landing in Vietnam, Mar 8 and Apr 10, 1965. We would like to hear from any combat veterans that may wish to celebrate this event with us. Look forward to hearing from you.

Landed on \"Red Beach\" DaNang, Vietnam, March 8th, 1965. After floating off the cost of Vietnam for 67 day\'s on the , \"USS RENVILLE\", APA 227, we finally received orders to go over the side and land on \"Red Beach\" in the early morning. When the front of the \"Higgins Boat\" we were in dropped the front, we all sounded like a \"John Wayne\" movie, screaming on the way up the beach, only to be greeted by a line of beautiful Vietnamese women all holding flower\'s. I can\'t forget the , I believe it was, the U S Army special forces holding a sign that I think said \"Welcome to Vietnam, this beach has been secured by the US Army...etc.. All in all, it was very embarrassing. I still have the \"Stars and Stripes\" article about the landing. Marched up to Hill 327, and set up a perimeter to guard the DaNang air base.

FANTASTIC Website! I added your link to my bookmark, and forwarded your website to my friends. I really appreciate this tremendous resource. Also, another great website is http://www.veteranprograms.com where veterans can learn about hidden government benefits, how to properly increase their compensation, take part in super giveaway specials for veterans, and find out what merchants are giving discounts to veterans.
Keep up the great job!
