I'm trying to install a Drupal package called Prosepoint, and when it gets to the setup screen where you enter database information I get the following error :
Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2).
I've created a new database and entered the name correctly. Help is greatly appreciated.
I did check out the Bravenet site for previous Drupal posts and that didn't solve my problem. However the second link did just the trick. It was really just a problem with the settings.php file.
