I don't have any knowledge of msn office live but from the error message you posted I guess you have to use:

<script type="text/javascript" src="path/to/file" defer="defer"></script>


Try it, if it doesn't work then maybe someone with more experience can help you

I looked around and found two things:
1) This bug is three years old now. Typical M$ really
2) defer="defer" only works with IE as far as I can tell.

I did find this http://solutionsforofficelive.com/externaljs.aspx with a couple of workarounds though.
