Browsers only want to download (not load) my HTML pages.

I have a mixture of HTML and PHP pages on my site.
PHP pages are to enable me to use the PHP include statement. Everything was working fine until the last few days, now all browsers want to 'download' my HTML pages rather than display them.

Re: Browsers only want to download (not load) my HTML pages.

A browser has to download the page in order to display it. You need to be more specific about the problem and give us more detail.

Your site worked perfectly normally for me with IE8

My reaction exactly. But then I reread the message and looked for a link to a .html page. Try the sitemap link (left column) and you may get a Open/Save dialogue box. (In Opera and Firefox, not Explorer)

Thank you for your replies.
Chrome gives me the following error message:
This type of file can harm your computer. Are you sure you want to download game-news.html. SAVE or DISCARD.
Firefox prompts for download or discard.
IE is working OK and displaying the .html pages automatically in the browser window.

perhaps something with the page is harmful

if you have an exe file on the page or something that prompts when the page comes up

I have seen this file type creates a lot of prompts and saying could be harmful

Even with screen savers and more things

Just have to be careful with your type of site
