Bravenet did away with the short URL redirect, but that was not the question. They have not disabled the ability to redirect a web page.
Here is a link to a Sample Redirect Source. The title in your browser will almost immediately show "Redirect Example - Destination". The page that is pointed to by the link above (source page), redirects to a anchor on the destination page. The anchor is simply at the top of a free web page, effectively pushing the advertisements out of the way. If the visitor scrolls up they can still see the advertisements, so it's not hiding them. It's probably easier to look directly at the source code, so you can download a Sample Redirect Zip File. It contains the source and destination redirect files.
