Problem with read-only setting for php docs

I'm having a problem with changing a php file to read-only. I've even gone as far as to download it to my computer, use several different programs to change it to read only, and re-upload it replacing the original, but it is still allowing it to be changed.

My question is, does anyone know how to use Bravenet hosting itself to change a text or php document to read-only and not allow it to be changed?

Thanks

It's possible that you can set permissions with the FTP Applet, but I have never had much luck making that work. A better solution would be to download a free copy of Filezilla. That will let you see your permissions and adjust them to your needs. Of course, you will have to set up a FTP account before you use either one of them. That can be done under your FTP tab.
