linking images

Dear All

I am new here and also new to website building. I know this probably sounds really stupid but somehow, no matter how many times I've looked this up and tried it out, I cannot get it right!! I want to make a link between a discount coupon (image) on my website so that customers do not have to print it out in order for them to get the information.

Am I being clear on this, I apologize if I'm not. The website in question is not live yet.

Re: linking images

If you type this code, you should be able to make the image a link:

since codes are used on this forum, I've substituted < and > for + and =

+img src="link.html" alt="whatever"=

you'll want alt= because that way if the image does not show up your customers can still click.

Re: linking images

alternatively, you can case an img that is already there in a link code. sorry for double post :)

Re: linking images

Thanks for the quick answer. I know I am really being "thick" here but I can't seem to translate this for my particular situation!! Every time I think I've done it correctly, and go to browse, it tells me "no such file" or some such explanation.

Re: Re: linking images

View the source of the page that I have linked. Each of the thumbnails links to a different page.

If you still have problems upload a test page to your site and post a link here. Somebody will then be able to debug your html.

Re: Re: Re: linking images

Thank you for your help. I hope you don't mind but I've printed out the source page for my reference. The web site in question is not yet live but hopefully it will be in about 1 week.

thanks again.
