I have created the code for a pop up with the popup generator and I have pasted it on my page where I think it is supposed to go and it will not open. Anybody got popup experience?

The term "pop-up" has a very strict technical meaning. It means a second window that opens without the visitor explicitly requesting it. I assume that this is actually what you mean as the term is often used incorrectly.

True pop-ups have a bad reputation as they have been misused on so many sites. Software to block them is so widespread that using pop-ups is a total waste of time.
