Open in a new window ... Correction ....

Hi,

Sorry, things didn't show as I wanted, so here I am re-posting my message:

Hi,

I have tried to follow the advise from the previous mailings but can't make it to work, so here is my problem:

The below code works fine, except that I want each of the options to open in a new window. Can someone tell me what to do? I have tried to insert target="_new" href=, or part of it, in various places, but it doesn't work.

Thanks in advance to who will help me out.

John

Re: Open in a new window ... Correction ....

target="_new" should work
if not, what is the full url and code that you have used?

Re: Open in a new window ... Correction ....

to open in a new window

Go Shopping

John, in place of beginning lesser than sign <, replace with <

that will enable the html code to be seen on forums, etc.

Re: Open in a new window ... Correction ....

Thanks for trying to help me. I had to swap all the "<" with "<" to get that:

Heres a link to a page I Googled with your question....I don't know if you're using Frontpage, if not, this might help you anyway though...

I know the code I gave above opens in a new window, that being from a text link or a nav menu....but as far as how those links are handled in a drop box, if even thats the code...no idea..

hopefully the link helps...

Re: Open in a new window ... Correction ....

well, it would help if i included the link heh

Re: Open in a new window ... Correction ....

This kind of thing always happens when Bravenet posts some simple code. Everyone seems to want to use it, but not exactly the same way that it is presented.

The code that John is talking about is the "Quick Navigation Box", posted by Roger Riche in the latest Bravenet webmaster Tips & tricks! thingy. It's down near the bottom of the page.

Quick Nav:

It's a fairly simple rework of a menu

Best wishes.
