how do i place anything in my head tags, where are they located? im using a bravenet template and this might be the problem. if this is the case and i cant edit my head tags then i will never be able to promote my website correctly and ive just waisted alot of time with my site!

Not being able to get at the structure of your web pages, suggests that you are using the Website Wizard to create your pages. The Wizard is very restrictive and does not give you access to the structure. That doesn't mean you can't promote your site, but you haven't told us what your are trying to do.

The structure is the preferred place for a lot of code, like meta tags and JavaScript, because it keeps it away from the page body. But that doesn't mean that it can't exist elsewhere.

What editor are you using? There are hundreds of possible editors and instructions for some of them are quite different from the usual.
