I'm trying to build a resume page. On the page everythings is set up with backgrounds, but I want to include a print link for people who need a hard copy to file.

I know I've been to web pages where you click a print button the author has put in and you get redirected to a black and white word type document and your print box automatically comes up.

How do you do that?

You need to first make a simple black and white page
or you can use a print css file to format a print only version of the same page.
You then javascript to get print button to
do it thing.
