why are characters as ─ bigger then other characters when using monospca trough

what can i do different to have them the same with?
are there characters i can use to compensate
(a char that displays as wide as ─ minus the width of a normal char, wich i can use after a normal char to get the same width)

The definition of monospace characters is that they are all the same width. If characters are different widths in the character set you are using then it is not monospace.
