Bravenet's forum service is hosted on their servers, so all you get is a link. You should have some control over the colors from your forum service manager, under the "look and feel" link. The free or Basic hosting does not have the features you need to run a forum yourself. If you want a forum directly on your site you would need Pro hosting. Then you could upload some PHP forum code and manage everything yourself.
