I only listed your first link, because that is all that is necessary to illustrate things. There is a missing link termination, but there is more wrong with the link than that. It look like you are trying to take a template button image, wrap it in a link, and annotate the button. It's possible to do this but a little messy. The intent behing the templates is that you download the button images, add annotation with a graphic editor, upload the button image back to your site, and than adjust the link.
There are some on-line utilities, on other web sites, that allow you to work with button images and add annotation. But an easier way is to go to Ifranview.com and download their free graphic editor. Then use it to annotate buttons. The button in the link above is for you forum so you might create one with annotation that says "My Forum" and is named "myforum.gif". Once the new button is uploaded to your site you can change the link to read:
Note that the only thing between the and tags is the tag. The text annotation was removed because it is now on the image.
