when i made my domain name i put it wrong on my account and i redid one under sudomains but it won't let me change my main domain name, then when i'm trying to work on the site for my subdomain name it says not configured. can someone please tell me how to change my main domain name.

If you have registered a domain name then the name is what is registered. You can register, and pay for, another but you still own the original until it comes up for renewal.
