This is going to sound extremely stupid, but- I cannot for the life of me figure howto get into the HTML of my site to start working with it. How od I get into my site to edit it?

HTML files are plain text. You can type html code directly into the file using a text editor such as Notepad. There are also hundreds of specialist web page building products on the market, both free and paid for. Google will find them for you.

Once you have created your file then upload using whatever FTP software or other utuilities are available to you.

Emelia, if you are asking how to get into the database here on Bravenet, go to http://www.bravehost.com/ and log in at the top right, then drop down and click "manage hosting" and then click "file manager". Then open whatever folder you want to work with.
