In theory, upload it and just link in exactly the same way as you would link to a web page.

BUT some free services, including Bravenet, restrict the file types that you can upload.

Megaupload Use this to upload your file, whether you have paid hosting or not(it will save hosting space ). Then attach a hyperlink to some text on your site.

Forgive me, you can also link some text to a file on your computer. Just type file///:FILELOCATION into the space provided when you click the 'add link' button.

Unless your local PC is a full blown web server and on the internet, you can not link directly to a file on your hard drive. That kind of link will only work for you. Your PC may be able to see the internet, but the internet can not see your hard drive.
