wma?

I know This'll sound stupid, but on the file manager page, it says free accounts will only accept certain extensions. Underneath, it implies that the whole accepting/not accepting extensions bit is to do with re-naming files, not creating them.
Now Im confused.
Does that mean that i can upload a ".wma" file, or would it not be accepted.
(I want to put a song from my computers' media player onto one of my pages, and I dont want to have a deleted website!)

Re: wma?

Also, I wanted to ask what would be the best way of putting sound on my site?
Embeding it, or using a javascript?

Re: Re: wma?

The only filetype that really makes sense is .mid

Music on websites is generally a bad idea - is there some reason you desperately need it?

Re: Re: Re: wma?

Oh, and second question:
Neither. Simply link to the file.

Thanks!

Re: wma?

In answer to the original question.

With the free site you can only upload a file with one of the permitted suffixes. Anything else will simply not upload.

Second part - if you rename a file to disguise it as a permitted file type (say you rename a .exe file as .htm) then that is a breach of terms for which Bravenet can close your site.
