multiple copies of ads at the top of my page!!!!!!
It seems that every time I put in my background
code:
, it causes multiple
layers of ads to pop up at the top of my page.
2 or 3 copies of the same ads!
I've placed the code after the . I placed it at the top, in the middle, at the bottom, it always does that. What am I doing wrong????? Or, is this some trick by bravehost.com to get you to buy an upgraded package???? If so, that really sucks.

Sounds as if you have multiple header tags.
I think that mixing and matching between different editors can contribute to this but there may be other causes as well.
At this point you need some understanding of the underlying code to clean things up properly.
My own suggestion would be to stick to an off-line editor like FrontPage or Dreamweaver. Get a complete mirror image of your site onto your PC and remove ALL codes for advertising and make sure you have one header section per page. Reload the clean pages with the Java Applet. From then on only maintain your site off-line and upload changes. You should get one set of ads per page and will have a complete back up in case anything goes wrong, or you want to move to another host.
