I tried to use http://validator.w3.org/ to validate my page. Most if not all of my HTML is copy and paste because I am a total beginner. Why am I getting so many errors?

Would these errors prevent someone from being able to access my web page? One lady from Canada can't access the page even when a direct link is sent to her. The message she gets is something it needing to be a registered site.

A validator will check that your code is in line with the latest standards. As html standards have changed over the years browsers are normally backward compatible. Remember, however, that IE is normally rather more forgiving of bad code than is Netscape. You should verify that you can see your site in both IE and Netscape (and any other browsers you can lay your hands on)

Your Canadian lady's problem is most likely due to a firewall issue at her end.
