I am using CSE Validator Lite to make my pages.. I made an HTML document and when I went to insert an image.. i tried previewing it in explorer but the image came up as a little red X...

I'm confused and have no clue why this is...

No, how could we? You had a space there that said "Website URL", and you decided not to fill it in. Of course we may make wild guesses, I can think of half a dozen different things that could be the cause. But there are plenty of How-to-use-images FAQs out there which you will find easily. I see no point in writing another.
