It is a very nice subject that we find in Hellenic Mythology and Aegyptian Mythology too.
Aegis was born by Zeus, Athena, Perseus and Apollo.
We find the aegis in the Homeric epics. Something similar was born by Hades. Bearing those helmets Perseus and Hades turned invisible.
Living for many years in Sweden I found many legends in Greek and Norse mythology almost identic.
