Hello Ms. Franks,
I was so moved by your story. It's great to hear such
inspirational and strong stories.
I'm a quadriplegic, level C6-C7. Was involved in a car
accident seven years ago which left me paralyzed from
chest down. I was wondering if you can give me some
pointers.
I use a manual wheelchair and try to stay active as
much as possible. After dropping out of H.S. after my
sophmore year, I decided to go back to school this
year at the age of 29.
In any case, everythings going well enough for no
complaints. Here's my "Dream before 30". I wanted to
race and finish the NYC marathon wwhich is 26.2 miles.
I've never been involved in racing or any wheelchair
sports. I also noticed that the racers were generally
Paraplegics. I have the use of both arms. Left side is
maarginally weaker than right, especially the triceps.
Finger don't have even strength to grip. Besides that,
I'm all good.
Mind if I ask what level of paralysis you are?
Well, I'm sure you receive plenty of fan emails, so
I'll keep this novel short. Have a beautiful day...
