Lim Tooling / Silicone Injection Molding

I am representing a mold builder for the Rubber Industry who has decided to pursue the Lim tooling, silicone injection molding. However, In an effort to improve our molds we wonder if there are any design guide lines or specifications available to help us supply a better mold to our customer? In particular dealing with runner systems and gating, heating considerations, and ejection of the product?

Respectfully,

W.T. Dietz

Re: Lim Tooling / Silicone Injection Molding

what is the area, volume and durometer number of cavities ? molding machine you intend to use? and the anticipated sales volume of the product
there are many options available and the most important question I have for you is what do you have in place now
prototype, mold, machinery, and where are you located?
I have prototype tooling left over from one of my projects. old technology is not lost just forgotten with
new acronyms
I could be of some assistance with the entire mfg process
