How to join molded fiberglass components?

I have an irregular plug which will require a two-part mold. We will use fiberglass for structural reasons, but the configuration of the plug makes it impossible to fiberglass the interior of the mold if the two parts are assembled. Each part will have to be laid up separately and then the two molded pieces will need to be joined to form the finished piece.
I'm sure there are tricks to doing this. Can anyone recommend a website/book or other source of practical information about how to accomplish this with a minimum of filling/sanding and a maximum of strength in the finished piece? Thanks.

Re: How to join molded fiberglass components?

I am not sure who to contact but I know we have customers who use sonic welding to adhere and join plastic parts. If this helps.

Based on my expirence in the thermo-set compression/injection molding suggest contacting and adhesive manufacture, ie Lord Manufacturing

Good luck,
