Pvt. Raymond H. Jones - Okinawa

My great-uncle, Pvt. Raymond H. Jones served with the 6th Marine Division on Okinawa, and was subsequently killed there on 10 May 1945. He served with the 1st Battalion 22nd Regiment, B Company.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about him or how he died, so I was wondering if anyone here may remember him or at least served (or know someone) in the same unit as him. Any information would useful. Thank you.

Michael: I believe that the 1st and 3rd Bns. were crossing the Asa rive on the morning of 10 May45. They were pinned down ot the southern bank and took casualties. My uncle was in the 3rd Bn and was KIA on the same day. This was just north of Naha. Semper Fi, Frank Lageose
