Looking for anyone who may have been onboard the SS Cape Clear in August 1944. My Granfather was Lt. Robert Troxler and from his records it appears he was a coding officer in the Signal Company. Records indicate he was with 6th Marine Division. The voyage would have started on the 30th of August and ended on 31st when they reached Guadalcanal. Thank you for your assistance.
