Frank Irving Rodgers

My Father is Frank Irving Rodgers, 6th Marine Division from Marblehead, MA. He helped capture Sugar Loaf Hill. His service was from August 1944 to September 20, 1945. He was wounded in May 1945 when a hand-granade blew the right side of his face off. Participated in action against the enemy at Okinewa, Shima & the Ryukyu Islands. He was awarded a Purple Heart & a Good Conduct Medal. He recently passed & is well deserving of his burial at Arlington National Cemetary in Arlington, VA.
I would love to hear from anyone that knew my dad or has any stories about him.

Regards, Rebecca Rodgers
