Hello to all,

I am looking for any information about my father, Oscar W. Gupton (he died 6 yrs ago). I believe he was either a PFC or CPL (radio man?) in the Sixth, and that his unit was "L" Btry, 4th Bn, 15 reg? After the surrender, he went to Japan with the occupation forces.

My father joined the Marines in April 1943, but the Sixth was not formed until late 1944, so I was curious as to the unit he was in before the Sixth, as well as any other information you may have.
