Can anyone give me any info on my dad. He was awarded the Navy Cross while serving with Battery H, 6th Marine Defense Battalion, Fleet Marine Force, Naval Air Station Midway during the bombardment of Sand Island, Midway Islands, by Japanese forces on Dec. 7th 1941. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have a newspaper clipping regarding his Navy Cross, but that is all.
