Does anybody out there remember my father, WILLIAM ('Bill') R. SMITH? His basic training started 1944 at the Marine Base in San Diego, then continued at Camp Pendelton. Afterward, he was assigned to the 6th Div., 22nd Regiment, 3rd Battalion, Item Company, 3rd Platoon. He now resides in Huntington Beach, California, and would love to hear from any buddies.
