Need to find out what unit in 6th Marines was Charlie W.Shuping in

I am trying to find out what exact unit Charlie W.Shuping was in.He was a mortar NCO in the 6th Marine division.Some old photos show that he worked with the 81mm mortars.I have his WW2 uniform and some photos taken during WW2.I would like to know if there is anyplace or book that would have a personnel roster so I could find out the exact unit he served in.

Hi. Go to the marine website and request records....it could help you learn alot. I did it to find out more about my Dad's time in the sixth and learned alot. Here's the webpage:

By the way....my Dad (deceased) served in the sixth, 15th artillery unit...okinowa, guadalcanal, china.
