Samoa On Alert

The Marines and Navy fortified east Samoa island (the now US Territory of American Samoa) in anticipation of a Japanese attack. I can't seem to find any information on who are these brave marines who were actually on American Samoa. Did anyone serve with these names: Carney, Wilson, or Raymond? If you know any of these marines, please let me know.

Re: Samoa On Alert

I was with the Signal Company, Samoan Defense Force on American Samoa at Pago Pago during February 1943 to March 1944. Our 1st Sergeant transferred to 22nd Marines trading positions with a 1st Sergeant of the 22nd. I don't recall either of the two 1st Sergeant's names. My company commander was Captain T. M. Eccleston. I don't recall any of those three names you stated. It's so long ago my memory has faded.
