It is a reprint and I soon discovered why I am having so much difficulty finding information on my uncle. I had not noticed as a child that his last name was misspelled throughout the book. I have since contacted the USMC and, after looking through all of his military documents, it has come to light that upon his enlistment, the USMC misspelled his name and all of his official documents are that way. They are willing to correct the mistake and even contact Battery Press so that it will be correct when it next goes to print; however, I have to obtain a copy of his birth certificate and, as a niece, I am not considered immediate family and, therefore, cannot do so. In talking to the USMC, it was also discovered that his name was omitted as a recipient of the Navy Cross in the book.
