B, the casualty card(S) from Historical Section USMC, reflect Bates in a Signal Co., which was then crossed out and Casual Co. put in, which I think, knowing the Corps, one could assume that the person who entered the last, didn't have a clue as to where he was originally assigned. The dates you reflected a year and a day apart are what exitst on the casualty cards.
