Hi,
My names Alex, im 13 and live in England. i was wathcing a programme on the battle for 'suger loaf hill' and the name Lt. Dale Bear (or Berh the spelling was not verified) and wish to know if i am related to him.
if anyone knows ANYTHING please tell me as this may prove very helpful.

Name: Lt. Dale Bear (or Berh)
Rank: Lieutenant
Outfit: 6th Marines G company

The follwing information is a bit unhelpful
1. was hit 3 times; once in the leg, once through his eye and whilst leaving the hill under heavy fire being shot through the back.
2. The documentary declared that he sowpped hi Garand for a 30 cal. light machine gun and fired this from his hip.
3. He was with a soldier nicknamed 'laz'
