My father, General Walter Harold Stephens, was a Lt. Col. with H&S Co., 22d Mar, 6th Marine Division from May 15, 1945, participated in the capture of Okinawa Shima and was wounded in the shoulder and hand on Okinawa in June 1945. He remained with the 6th division in Tsingtao until Sept. 1946. I have been trying to piece together his military record and wondered if there was anyone who might have served with him. Appreciate any info available.
