Seeking information about my dad's service in Okinawa in preparation for a trip there in 2006.

We believe he was a Sgt.assigned to the 713th Armored flame thrower battalion, which saw action with the Marines in the Okinawa campaign in 1945.

Have been n contact with national records center in St. Louis, but not looking promising.
