Anyone who served with Lt. Paul K. Lynde

I'm trying to locate some information on the unit my father served with in WWII. He is gone now, but the best I can discern from his papers is he was a Lt. with the H&S Battery, 1st Battalion, 15th Marines, 6th Marine Division in 1944. I know he was on Okinawa and I was hoping to find some information on what his unit did.

I joined the survey section of H&S Battery, 1st BTN, 15th Marines on Guadalcanal in December, 1944. I fought for 92 days on Okinawa, was on Guam when the war ended and then was sent to Tsingtao. Lt. Lynde was my battery commander for some of that time. I have very good memories of those days. Robert M. Wanderman
