With the 60th Anniversary upon us this year the Media has shown some renewed interest with regard to Okinawa.
Okinawa will be featured on the PBS on May 2nd this year. The program will entitled 'Victory in the Pacific'. One of our members, George Niland will be giving his perspective on the battle during the program.
The BBC will also air a special on the History Channell and have also interviewd some of our members and these shows will air sometime in the future.
Several of us have furnished stories which were requested by various authors planning publication of their books.
Our History Chairman, Laura Lacey, has authored a book, published and offered for sale, called "Keep off the Skyline".
The book is complely about the men of the Sixth Marine Division.
