My husbands cousin is looking for anyone who might have known her father. He was killed on Charlie Hill on Okinawa May 14th 1945. His name was Frank Vogel and he was in the 3 G 29th. She has been looking for someone who may have known him for years. She does not have internet or e-mail so I am helping her look. Please let me know if you knew him. To who asked about Frank D. Vogel of G 3-29, I do not know him but I have a few old photos of FD Vogel and my father standing together in grass skirts on Guadalcanal prior to the invasion of Okinawa. FD Vogel and my father were buddies from the get-go. I would like to communicate with who ever may know FD Vogel.
