A friend is trying to find out more about his grandfather's death on Okinawa. PFC Wicklund was with Co H, 3rd Bat., 29th Marines, 6th Marine Division. He was killed on June 6, 1945. According to different family accounts of his death, it was either from a knee mortar round or a sniper.
