I am looking for any information on my uncle, Bob Sherman and his time in the USMC. Anyone know of him or remember him? He was in the Battle of Okinawa as well as being stationed in Tsingtao, China. I have a photo of him with a buddy of his, taken in Tsingtao. He enlisted in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born in 1924. Any information is appreciated.

i have a photo taken nov 27 1945 in tsingtao china. One of the marines in this photo is listed as "Kermit Sherman" Could this be him? maybe a nickname? let me know i will be glad to share the photo with you.

Hi. I don't know anything about a nickname for my uncle and neither does my dad. If you could send me the photo, though, I'd know for sure if it was him. I recently found out that he was with the 15th Artillery Regiment, 3rd Battalion, H&S Battery. I believe there was a reference to a 90mm AA gun in some notes also. He was in Tsingtao from 10/10/45 to 2/46.

This is very interesting, My Dad was in the 3rd Battalion 15th Marines as well. I am trying to get more information regarding the 15th if you can share anything. I do have some photo's of my Dad with some other guys. maybe one of them is your grandfather? Send me an e-mail
